For the Luv of Field Hockey Tournament

Your team is invited to participate in the initial For the Luv of Field Hockey Tournament!!! Designed for the teams attending festival to play together before traveling to California or for teams who do not want the season to be over yet!! There will be two tournament dates so that you can enter one or both dates.

The tournament will be played on the field turf of the Wyoming Valley Sports Dome inside a climate controlled dome-- you will think you are already in California!!! College coaches will be invited to attend the tournament and will be given your team’s individual information if submitted at least one week before the tournament date.

DATES

There will be two tournament dates so that you can enter either one or both dates Sunday, November 9th and Sunday, November 16th.

FORMAT

The tournament will be a 7 v 7, 6 field plus goalie, on a 35 X 60 yard field. This will allow festival teams to participate even if you do not have your entire roster, or to allow you to split and form two teams to allow for maximum play time for each participant. Players will be allowed to participate on more than one team but special consideration will not be given for scheduling if there are any conflicts. There will be three fields playing at the same time.

TEAMS

The first 16 teams in the U16 and the U19 divisions will be accepted on a first come/first serve basis until the tournament is filled for each date. Age division is based on player age as of January 1, 2008. Roster is limited to a maximum of 12 players. Players may participate on more than one team but must be listed on each roster.

COST

$275 per team entry, which includes referee fees. Payment must be received in order to reserve your team’s spot. Complete rules and an optional team roster form for distribution to college coaches will be sent upon registration.

GAMES

Each team is guaranteed four games. Each game will be 25 minutes in length. All teams will participate in crossovers to determine an overall champion. Awards will be given to first and second place teams.
